el matador

a summer day at El Matador State Beach with the family.

with buckets, beach toys and a picnic lunch in hand, we hiked down the dirt trail.

awesome sea caves to explore.

walking along to find the perfect spot to set up camp for the day.

the little ones walking along.

it was 85 degrees, and our oldest still insisted on wearing a jacket.

feathered friends basking in the sun.

play time.

it was a sweet day with the 5 of us.

school begins tomorrow.
no more sleeping in.
it's back to alarm clocks going off at 6 am.
making peanut butter and jam sandwiches.
we think we're ready.

This is one of my all time favorite beaches! It makes me happy to revisit it through your pics and even better to see my fairy girl and little doughnut playing on it's shore.
